Tommy Gavin – 8 fingers of whiskey – Blow a drummer, Midleton Whisky Bar Speech
AWESOME scene from RESCUE ME. Tommy orders eight fingers of whiskey in his cast and then hes swallowed most of it down shows that he has only $ 2. 75 in his pocket. The bar bouncers appear and Tommy tells them he is FDNY, asks him to prove it as bartender, Tommy takes his physical and mental scars. All the while this is happening is a little sloppy girls eyed Tommy, and then makes her move. Tommy, with real style, offers some advice to save her, said: “This is much, much more bad boy than you ever manage to be in the situation. So do yourself a favor. Go blow a drummer.” A top scene. Makes Me Want to Midleton whiskey drink. . . But at £ 100 a bottle I would have had to have a damn bad day. . . much like Tommy. Enjoy the scene and please comment / rate

An amazing scene, it really explains how fucked up society is in a lot of ways. One thing I like about this show is how well the actors play their characters to the point where you forget its just a show. In some ways I can relate to the Tommy Gavin character. I haven’t had any fucked up times like his, but fucked up enough. Also, I always like how his family blames him for everything in the show without looking into the mirror and taking personal responsibility for their part.

Epic scene. Saw that crazy high tech red boat on the news they named it three four three and of course I heard that number and I’m like “that’s the number firemen that gave their lives on 9/11.” then I just had to watch this scene again Epic 5 stars

This kind of self-pitying misery porn is why the show fell off so badly during seasons 3-4. Well, that and killing off Johnny Gavin for no reason.

By far my favorite scene from all of Rescue Me. Dennis Leary’s Performance is awesome. The script is really good too.
