Do you like this new revolutionary idea for dinner dating?

I am a systems analyst. I had a dinner on msn with a girlfriend on Valentines day. She lives abroad. I’m designing a new website for singles. They meet on line for dinner. webcam of course. He cooks her fav meal and she cooks his with candles etc. They meet at a suitable time and share whatever they wish. Wine? No wine for non alcoholic participants . Whatever! They meet but they never met physically at this time. But do you think it would be a good way to meet. On Line Dinner world wide? ? Meet your dream date? etc :) )))))

I’m sure some would find that entertaining. I doubt I’d have the patience for a ‘virtual date’ as it would be tedious running back and forth trying to cook, and type, and smile pretty for the webcam.

I prefer in-person dates…although I’m totally kewl with meeting someone online initially, and chatting (online and/or phone eventually) to determine if there’s interested enough to move to an offline meeting.

I think the actual act of cooking takes it a little too far. Regardless, they have to be eating something, so I suppose that’s alright — but can’t it just be any sort of food? After all, there’s no way for them to really share any of it with each other. But that’s a small point.

In light of all the things people can use the internet for, I wouldn’t be surprised if this became popular. It seemed a little far-fetched at first, but when I let the idea sink in a little it made more sense. It’s like going out on a date, basically, where you get to have a conversation with someone without all the complexities of a real-life dinner. Don’t like your date? Click, and he’s gone!

Haha. I think it’s a great idea. Very innovative.

Curly, it is a big change, from systems analyst, to web designer, Singles club organizer, and dinner date organizer. Yes I think it is innovative, and a tremendous challenge, which could be a very profitable one too. I think this is an excellent way to meet, and there would be considerable demand for the service. keep me up to speed, good luck
